12TH NIGHT STEWARDS’ MESSAGE:
Greetings from the Stewards!
The populace of Krae Glas are busy making many preparations to make your visit to 12th Night as enjoyable as possible. Here is some useful information to assist you during your stay in our lands for this splendorous occasion.
The weather forecast is fine for all days: 27 (Friday), 24 (Saturday), 26 (Sunday). It does cool off quickly once the sun sets (around 8:30pm), so please bring something warm for the evening. We may even light the camp fire if it gets sufficiently cool in the evening.
Arrival and sign in
Sign at the main hall.
For those staying in the cabins, there are drop off points along the loop road (there will be traffic management). For those staying in Jenkins Homestead or camping, the closest drop off is in front of Jenkins Homestead. Feel free to drop your stuff off on the loop road (pull to one side to allow others through) then park in the designated visitor parking area.
A copy of the timetable is here: http://12thnight.lochac.sca.org/timetable/
Mistress Elspeth and her team will ensure you are well fed throughout your stay, and you will feast upon the finest foods from Persia and the silk road. For those visiting on Saturday, there will be lunch served at 12pm, and the evening feast will consist of continuous food service from 4-8pm. Weather permitting, we expect that the feast will be held outdoors, with games and frivolity at 6pm.
If you have any dietary requirements, please check the menu/allergy matrix below: http://12thnight.lochac.sca.org/…/Lochac-12th-Night-Coronat…
For those staying in cabins, please bring bedding (sheets, blanket, pillow). Beds are full sized single beds (unless told otherwise). If would like bedding to be supplied, please let the steward know. Each cabin has an ensuite bathroom.
Campers: you will be located on the middle oval. Although we will guide you, please also ensure that your tent is not under any trees. The main concern for the site is falling branches.
If you indicated at the time of booking that you would like to volunteer with an aspect of the event, we will be in touch with you.
Arts and sciences
If you are entering the Kingdom A&S competition, or are contributing to the A&S display, space will be available in the main hall. Please set up your submissions by 10am Saturday so that the populace may view your wonderful efforts. There is a classroom next to the main hall for those interested in the scribal arts to practice their art throughout the weekend. Please bring equipment etc.
